Our dog waiting area offers a spacious, welcoming environment where dogs can relax away from the hustle and bustle of other animals. With non-slip flooring, plenty of room for personal space, and a calm atmosphere, we aim to make every visit as stress-free as possible.
We’ve also taken care to provide easy access to our consult rooms from the dog waiting area, so there’s minimal waiting time and a smooth flow to your visit.
By separating dogs and cats, we help reduce stress and allow each pet to feel more at ease—because at Cariad Vets, we believe a calm pet is a healthier, happier pet.

This is where our team prepares patients before they enter theatre—whether it's for a routine neutering, a dental procedure, or a more complex surgery. In the prep area, pets are carefully monitored as they’re anaesthetised, clipped, cleaned, and made ready for their procedure. It’s also where we carry out pre-surgical checks and place IV lines if needed.
Designed for efficiency and hygiene, the prep area is fully equipped with the necessary tools, monitoring equipment, and lighting to support safe and effective preparation. Our veterinary surgeons and nurses work closely together in this space, making sure every patient receives calm, compassionate care from start to finish.

The theatre is used exclusively for sterile operations, with our trained team of vets and veterinary nurses working together to monitor anaesthesia, maintain patient warmth and comfort, and support a smooth recovery. Our kennels are spacious, secure, and located away from the cat kennels to help keep things calm. Each kennel is cleaned and disinfected between patients, and lined with soft bedding to keep your dog warm and cosy during their stay. Whether your pet is recovering from surgery, being monitored after treatment, or simply waiting to be collected, we make sure they’re cared for like one of our own.
Our team regularly checks on all inpatients, providing reassurance, gentle handling, and any necessary medication or post-operative care. We also make sure dogs have access to fresh water and appropriate food, and we take them out for toilet breaks and gentle walks when needed.

Cat Kennels

At Cariad Vets, we understand that cats need a calm, quiet environment—especially when they’re feeling unwell or recovering from treatment. That’s why our cat kennels are located in a completely separate area from our dog kennels, helping to reduce stress and keep our feline patients as comfortable as possible.
Our cat kennels are peaceful and designed with feline needs in mind. Each kennel is enclosed, cosy, and lined with soft bedding to give your cat a safe, secure space to rest. We also provide litter trays, hiding spots where appropriate, and fresh food and water to help your cat feel at ease during their stay.
Whether your cat is in for the day or just a quick visit, our team ensures they receive gentle handling, regular checks, and any medical care they need—always with a quiet, cat-friendly approach.
