With over 33 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Lisa is a highly respected and dedicated veterinary surgeon known for her compassionate care and deep knowledge across a wide range of animal health issues. Throughout her career, she has built lasting relationships with clients and their animals, offering trusted expertise in both routine care and complex medical cases.
Lisa’s passion for animals extends far beyond the clinic. She lives on a family farm with her husband and their two daughters, where she plays an active role in caring for the animals and supporting daily farm life. A keen horse rider, Lisa finds joy and relaxation in the saddle, often spending her free time exploring the countryside on horseback.
Her strong connection to the land and lifelong commitment to animal welfare continue to drive her work and inspire those around her. Whether she's in the surgery or out in the fields, Lisa brings warmth, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to everything she does.
After years of working within retail management, Josie made the decision to pursue her passion for animals by returning to education. She attended Carmarthen college to achieve diplomas in animal care and animal management before progressing onto her Foundation Degree in Animal Science with the University of Wales Trinity St David. After graduating in 2021, she began studying for her Degree in Veterinary Nursing in Monmouth with the University of South Wales.
After a further two years of academic study Josie completed majority of her practical training in a veterinary practice in Carmarthen, before joining the team at Cariad Vets in late 2023.
Since joining the team at Cariad Vets Josie has qualified and is now a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
Josie enjoys artistic pursuits including drawing and building models, and as a big film buff she also enjoys nothing more than cwtching up for a good film with her beloved and rather spoilt ginger cat named Leo.
Mark is a compassionate and caring vet with a wealth of experience in small animal medicine.
Since qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College in 2001, he has dedicated his career to providing the highest standard of care for pets and their families.
Mark has a particular interest in ophthalmology and dermatology and enjoys finding solutions to help animals live happy, healthy lives.
An all-round experienced clinician, Mark is known for his gentle approach and commitment to building trusted relationships with clients.
Outside of work, he’s a devoted family man, spending his free time with his lovely wife, two boys and their two beloved dogs.
Ruth qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2003 from Pencoed College, Bridgend.
Since qualifying Ruth has spent time in a variety of practices, she has worked in a small animal practice in Llanelli to a mixed practice in Somerset, an Equine practice in Carmarthenshire and a specialist orthopaedics in Swansea.
Ruth is local and went to Penyrheol Comprehensive School and Gorseinon College.
Ruth joined Cariad Vets in September 2023 and when she isn't working Ruth is looking after her two young children and she enjoys spending time with them and their spotty pony Chip.
Graham grew up in Tonna and studied in Neath College before reading Zoology at Bristol University and then Veterinary Medicine at The Royal Vet College, London, qualifying in 1999.
His first job was in Dartmoor as a farm animal vet, after 2 years he moved to Field Vets in Newport where he worked in mixed practice. He then worked in mixed practice at St James, Swansea before moving to Cardiff to work nights as an emergency vet.
Graham formed Forest Vets in September 2010 where he stayed until 2021, after selling the practice to IVC.
After working as a locum for 3 years in various local practices he established Cariad Vets in 2023 which opened its doors on 1st July.
Graham lives in Three Crosses with Sarah his wife, their two children, Faye and George, plus 3 horses, 3 sheep, their cat Dora and a puppy called Jack.
When he isn't at work, he is to be found either playing/coaching Cricket for Gowerton CC or watching his children play their sports.
Faith Bruno
Receptionist
Faith works every Saturday as our Receptionist.
Faith is currently studying for her A Levels in Gowerton Comprehensive Sixth Form, she is studying Geography, English and Psychology.
When Faith isn't studying or working, she enjoys horse riding and netball, this year she hopes to qualify for HOYS (Horse of the Year Show) or RIHS (Royal International Horse Show)
Faith has been working in Cariad Vets since it opened in July 2023 and thoroughly enjoys it.
Katie Clement
Receptionist
Katie is our week day receptionist, She’s got a background in Beauty Therapy, and has had a change of heart in careers after volunteering in an animal rescue centre.
She has such a big passion for animals, and her favourite companion is Frankie the Cavapoo who lives at home with her, along with her mum, dad and older brother.
Katie lives in Baglan and has for 20 years. She loves to take her dog for walks down the beach and listen to music.
She loves being in the sun and hopes to live by the seaside one day.
Katie is positive and friendly and wants to put a smile on everyone’s face and spread her positivity.
Amy Morgan
Reception, Sales & Marketing Manager
Amy grew up in The Midlands and after leaving school and college she studied Beauty in The Oxford International College of Beauty and qualified as a Beauty Therapist in 2007.
Amy moved to Swansea after qualifying and started to work in Machynys Golf Club as a Beauty Therapist and Spa Manager.
After 10 years in the beauty industry Amy decided she wanted to change and got a job working with Graham at Forest Vets in 2017 as Head Receptionist.
In December 2023 Amy joined the team at Caraid Vets.
When Amy isn't working, she is looking after her husband, two young boys and their cat, Rickie.
Amy enjoys spending her time sewing and going on holiday with her family in their caravan.
